Michael Henderson
Michael Henderson is an artist in Huntsville and Houston, Texas. He studied painting and drawing at the University of North Texas and received his MFA in 1986. From 1986-7, he was a fellow in the Whitney Independent Study Program of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. He is the recipient of grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and Artists Space. His videos, video installations, digital prints, drawings and paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States. Recent exhibitions include the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University, Conduit Gallery, Dallas, and the Islip Art Museum in East Islip, NY. Henderson is an associate professor of art at Sam Houston State University and a founding member of Box13 ArtSpace in Houston.
